Happy Birthday Little One!

It was my daughter’s 1st birthday on the 8th and I thought I would cry but I didn’t. It was definitely the most sentimental 1st birthday because it’s the last. I heard a song on the radio and I’m going to share it here. It’s called These Are The Days by Cory Asbury.

I cried the first time I heard this song. The line where he says, “Darlin’ before we know it, This old house will be quiet”….that line hit me the hardest. I can already feel it now. When it’s quiet or when they are just sitting there watching their shows I look at them and I just want to freeze that moment. Because we’ll never get these moments back. There will come a day when they won’t want those bedtime stories. There will be those days when they won’t come crying to us when they fall. So when I feel frustrated and tired, I will think about this song and try to cherish every moment. No matter how hard parenting is and how mad we get sometimes, these are days we’ll really want back.

Luna Lion Hat Pattern

I’m a huge Harry Potter fan. I guess you could say I’m a Potterhead. I’ve been seeing hats like these online and I’ve decided to make my own. I tried to make this screen accurate. I also want to design hats for the rest of the houses. I’m currently finalizing my Ravenclaw pattern which will be coming out soon 🙂

This lion hat is an adult hat but it will fit a small child if you add ties on the flaps. This would be perfect for cosplay, play time and Halloween. My son loves wearing the hats I make and it’s a lot of fun to pretend. Also, if you are giving this to a small child to play with, you can omit the whiskers because they can be quite sharp at the ends.

If you would like to buy the pattern it is in my shop here: Luna Lion Hat Pattern.

Cory and Chrissy Carson Patterns

This show is adorable. I love it. My kids love it. It’s just a nice, clean show for kids and I don’t have to worry about what they are watching when I put this one. Cory Carson is a show on Netflix and it revolves around Cory and his family. Chrissy also has her own show and it’s so cute. If you guys haven’t seen this show, it’s a must see if your kids love cars. There are tons of shows out there with bad writing and they have generic lines and you have a few chuckles but this show is on another level.

So, being me, I had to make these dolls. My son’s birthday is in July and he got so excited when I started making them. How could I resist? He was excited that I was making them for him. If you want to make Cory and Chrissy Carson please click on this link here: Cory Carson Patterns.

Please feel free to share this post 🙂

8-bit Baby Groot Tutorial

It’s been a while since I’ve dabbled in 8-bit art. I did a video in the past about perler beads:

This time I made an 8-bit character using Hama beads. These are more flexible because I used the mini beads instead of the regular sized ones. These are really fun to make with your kids and friends. You can make so many things with them like magnets, wall art, decorations for your notebooks. The possibilities are endless 🙂 Let me know if you make your own Hama bead art and feel free to post them on my Facebook page!

Here is where I got all my supplies:

  1. Hama beads
  2. Tweezer

This is the image I was working off of. I actually added a little more green and brown to groot to make him look a little more put together.
