MATERIALS:
- Red, black, white, gold, brown yarn
- Size F hook
EYE STALKS:
With red colored yarn.
1. 6sc in circle.
2. 2sc in each sc.
3. 1sc in each sc. For 15 rows.
4. Make 2.
5. Connect the two eye stalks together. Do this just like how I made the white totoro.
BODY:
6. 1sc in each sc.
7. 3sc, 2sc in sc.
8. 1sc in each sc. For 3 rows.
9. 4sc, 2sc in sc.
10. 1sc in each sc. For 3 rows.
11. 5sc, 2sc in sc. [42]
12. 1sc in each sc. For 7 rows.
13. 1sc in next 41 stitches.
LEGS:
14. Make a slip stitch with stitch across the gap. Make sure that this leg hole you made has 14 stitches.
15. 1sc in each sc. For 8 rows.
16. 3sc, 2sc in sc.
17. 1sc in each sc. For 8 rows.
BOTTOM OF SHOES:
With white colored yarn.
18. 6sc in circle.
19. 2sc in each sc.
20. 2dc in next 2 stitches, 4sc, 2dc in next 2 stitches, 4sc.
21. 1sc, 2dc in next 2 stitches, 6sc, 2dc in next 2 stitches,5sc. Finish off. Make two.
TOP PART OF SHOES:
22. 6sc in circle.
23. 2sc in each sc.
24. 2dc in next 2 stitches, 4sc, 2dc in next 2 stitches, 4sc.
25. 1sc, 2dc in next 2 stitches, 6sc, 2dc in next 2 stitches,5sc.
26. 1sc in each sc. For 2 rows.
PART OF SHOES THAT GO AROUND LEGS:
27. Pick up 19 stitches.
28. 1sc in each sc. 3 rows.
FLAP FOR SNEAKERS:
29. Chain 4.
30. 1sc in 2nd chain from hook. 2sc.
41. 1sc, 2sc in sc, 1sc.
42. 1sc in each sc.
BLACK STRIPE ON SNEAKERS:
With black colored yarn.
43. Chain 4.
44. 1sc in each sc.
45. 1sc in each sc for 9-10 rows.
ARMS:
With red colored yarn.
46. Pick up 12 stitches where the arms should be. Position them on either side, right below the eye stalks.
47. Do the arms just like sackboy’s. Back loops for the top 6 and front loops for the bottom 6.
48. 1sc in each sc. For 9 rows.
49. 2sc, 2sc in sc.
50. 1sc in each sc. For 4 rows.
51. Change to white yarn. 3sc, 2sc in sc. [20]
52. Create the fingers.
EYE BALLS:
With white colored yarn.
53. 6sc in circle.
54. 1sc in each sc. For 4 rows.
55. Sc2tog until you close the gap. Stuff before you close it up.
56. Put a button through the front of the eyes. Secure just like you would with a sackboy. I used buttons for this but you can also use safety eyes.
57. Sew onto eye stalks.
EYELIDS:
With red colored yarn.
58. 6sc in circle.
59. 1sc, 2sc in sc.
60. 1sc in each sc. For 2 rows.
61. Sew onto eyes stalks to make them look like eyelids.
GLOVE AREA:
With white colored yarn.
62. Chain 20.
63. 1sc in each sc. For 5 rows.
64. Sew around hand area to make it look like he is wearing gloves.
PENDANT:
With gold colored yarn.
65. 6sc in circle.
66. 2sc in sc.
67. 1sc, 2sc in sc.
68. Chain 3, 2sc. Repeat sequence to the end of the row.
69. Finish off.
PENDANT CHAIN:
70. Chain 40.
71. Create sl st in 6 chain from hook.
72. Chain 3, skip 1 chain, sl st in next chain. Repeat until end of row.
HAT:
73. 6sc in circle
74. 2sc in sc.
75. 1sc, 2sc in sc.
76. 2sc, 2sc in sc.
77. 3sc, 2sc in sc.
78. 4sc, 2sc in sc.
79. 1sc in each sc. For 3 rows. Then 1sc in each sc with light brown yarn for the next row.
80. With light brown yarn, 2sc in each of the 7 stitches. Sl st with next stitch. Finish off.
81. Insert slip knot in the stitch where the marker was. “2sc, 2sc in sc” in next 12 stitches. Put a marker in the first sc you made in this row. Sl st with next stitch. Finish off.
82. Insert slip knot in stitch next to where the marker was. “3sc, 2sc in sc” in next 12 stitches. Put a marker in the first sc you made in this row. Sl st with next stitch. Finish off.
83. Insert slip knot in stitch next to where the marker was. “4sc, 2sc in sc” in next 12 stitches. Put a marker in the first sc you made in this row. Sl st with next stitch. Finish off.
84. Insert slip knot in stitch next to where the marker was. “5sc, 2sc in sc” in next 11 stitches. Put a marker in the first sc you made in this row. Sl st with next stitch. Finish off.
85. Insert slip knot in stitch where the marker was. “4sc, 2sc in sc” in next 10 stitches. Put a marker in the first sc you made in this row. Sl st with next stitch. Finish off.
86. Insert slip knot in stitch next to where the marker was. “3sc, 2sc in sc” in next 10 stitches. Put a marker in the first sc you made in this row. Sl st with next stitch. Finish off.
87. Sew on the back of eye stalks.
