  9. Before you stuff the head, attach the yarn for the hair. You can unravel the hair if you like to give that curly hair effect. Or you can leave it as is. I unravelled it and used 2 different types of orange yarn to give it more dimension.
  10. (1sc in next 2st. Sc2tog.) x 6. (18)
  11. (1sc. Sc2tog.) x 6. (12)
  12. Sc2tog. x 6 (6)

  17. Change to green yarn. (1sc in next 5st. 2sc.) x 6 (35)
  18. Divide your work into the body and the arms. The body should have 21 stitches and the arms should have 7 stitches each. Make sure that this is centered with the head.

  20. (1sc. Sc2tog.) x 7. (14)
  21. 1sc in each st. For 5 rows. (14)

  30. 1sc in each st. For 7 rows. (10)
  31. (1sc in next 3st. Sc2tog.) x 2. (8)
  32. 1sc in each st. For 6 rows. (8)
  33. Sc2tog until gap is small enough to sew closed.
  34. Do the same to the second leg.

Arms

  1. Join green yarn to the arm.
  2. (2sc. 1sc.) x 3. 2sc (11)
  3. 1sc in each st. For 8 rows. (11)
  4. (1sc in next 3st. Sc2tog.) x 2. 1sc. (9)
  5. 1sc in each st. For 7 rows. (9)
  6. Change to beige yarn.
  7. Create fingers. Use the pictures below to make the fingers. When creating the fingers, it’s like you are crocheting the gap closed with single crochets. Each finger is 1sc wide and 3 rows long. Create 4 of them
  8. For the thumb, join yarn where the thumb should be. The thumb should be 1sc wide and 3 rows long.

Cuff (make 2)

  1. Use gold yarn.
  2. Chain 12.
  3. 1sc in each chain starting in the second chain from the hook. (11)
  4. Chain 1. Turn. 1sc in each st. (11)
  5. FO.
  6. Sew around wrist.

Collar

  1. With gold yarn.
  2. Chain 27.
  3. 1sc in each chain starting in the second chain from the hook. (26)
  4. Chain 3. Turn. Skip first stitch. Sl st in next st. (Ch 3. Skip st. Sl st in next st.) x 12.

Gold cloth on elbow (make 2)

  5. Repeat step 3.
  6. FO.
  7. Sew this around the elbow.

Skirt for dress

  1. With green yarn.
  2. Chain 21.
  3. Make a ring and 1sc in each chain. (21)
  4. 2sc in each st. (42)
  5. From this point on, we will be joining rows instead of continuing in a spiral. For dc stitches, you have to chain 3 at the beginning of each row. The chain 3 will act as a dc. You will sl st into this chain 3 every time you end a row to join.
  6. (1dc in next 2st. 2dc.) x 14. (56)
  7. 1dc in each st. For 11 rows. (56)
  8. Change to gold yarn. 1sc in each st. (56)
  9. This is optional but you can make the bottom of the dress fancier. (Chain 5. Skip 2 st. Sl st in next st.) x 14.
  10. You can stop at one row or you can continue on to another row of loops. At the end of the first row, sl st until you get into the 3rd chain (the middle of the loop). Then chain 5 and sl st into the middle chain of the next loop. Repeat until you reach the end loop.
  11. FO.

At this time you can trim the hair and add more pieces of yarn to reach your desired look. For my doll, I didn’t unravel all the pieces of yarn. Some of them have 2 strands. I also cut the front to give her bangs and styled her hair so it looks more natural. I left mine long but you can definitely cut it so it matches the length she has in the movie.
