Review: Journal 29

Journal 29 is an interesting take on gaming. All you need is the journal and a smartphone. It really makes you think and some of the puzzles stumped me. There is a forum online to help you if you can’t solve a puzzle or two. There are no spoilers, so don’t worry. Gamers just offer hints to help others out. This game was a Indiegogo project that was successfully funded in 2017. It was created by Dimitris Chassapakis.

The book is well made and the hints on the pages help you solve the puzzles. After getting the answer, all you need to do is scan the QR code or go on the website printed on the left page and get the clue. This game makes you use your imagination and think out of the box.

If you’re looking for a way to try out a new game, pick up this book. It’s a fantastic game and really well planned out. I was amazed at how much I loved playing a game without special effects and graphics on my tv screen. I highly recommend this to anyone who loves puzzles and are looking for a challenge.
